How many camps are on Pipestone lake?

Answer:
Pipestone Lake Lodge is a very secluded, remote camp and is the only camp on the lake and for many miles around.


Question:
What does the term " Light housekeeping mean"?

Answer:
Guests bring in their own groceries and cook their own meals. This keeps the costs down plus there's no schedules to keep for meal times. You can come and go as you please, fishing as much, as often, and anytime you want. We clean the suites every day and make sure everything else is taken care of or provided for you.

What are the boarding procedures in Fort McMurray?

Answer:
Check in at the McMurray aviation hanger at the Fort McMurray airport approx 1 hour before departure time.

How much weight can I take on the airplane?

All food and gear should not exceed 50 lbs per person.  


Question:
Do I get a full 5 or 6 days of fishing?

Answer:
Absolutely. By flying to camp the evening before your fishing trip starts, you can even test the waters upon arrival.


Question:
Are guides required and supplied?

Answer:
No, Pipestone lake is small enough and the fish plentiful. Any capable fisherman can find fish. This also keeps the costs down for you as you don't have to pay guides. You are also not limited to certain hours of fishing as you would be with a guide. Most guides will also charge overtime after a certain period. If your new to Pipestone, the camp attendant is more than happy to take you around the lake showing you some of the hot fishing spots free of charge.

Answer:

Full capacity of Pipestone Lake Lodge is 12 guests.


Question:

How many hours a day can I fish?

Answer:
There is no limitation, fish 24 hours a day if you like. We'll just keep filling your boat up with gas. All guests create their own schedule and come and go at their own convenience.

How many bedrooms per suite?

Answer:
Each suite has two bedrooms.

Each bedroom has a double bed and twin bunk beds. Only three guests per bedroom.

Are there bathroom facilities in each suite?

Answer:
Yes, each suite has it's own bathroom facility complete with hot showers.


Question:
Do I have to bring cooking utensils?

Answer:
No, all pots, pans, utensils, dishes, storage containers etc. are supplied in the well equipped kitchenettes.

Are there barbecues to cook on?

Answer:
Yes, there are propane barbecues plus a three burner outdoor cooker for guests to use. There is also a Bradley digital smoker at camp if you wish to smoke some of your catch.

Do I have to bring a sleeping bag or bedding?

Answer:

No, all bedding and towels are supplied for you.
